If you feel that you need additional support with your child’s educational needs and you would like further advice then please do not hesitate to contact the school office on:
Your child’s needs are extremely important to us and, through our child and family centred approach, we feel that collaborative work with regards to your child’s educational and healthcare journey is vital to helping them succeed with all aspects of their learning, be that social, emotional and academic areas that they may need support with.
The Children and Families Act 2014 brought with it changes to the way in which support is provided to children and young people in England with Special Educational Needs. A new SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Code of Practice was implemented on the 1st September 2014 and this new system aims to put each young person and their family at the centre of discussions about the support offered.
In response to the Code of Practice, local authorities must publish a ‘local offer’ – the things that their schools/services will offer to support SEN pupils and their Parents and Carers. It should help them understand how the system works, and how the local authority, local area and the school will support children and families.
The ‘Local Offer’ can sometimes be tricky or overwhelming to navigate without prior experience so should you need any support please contact Mr McGarry on the phone number mentioned above. Worcestershire County Council are using the phrase ‘Ordinarily Available’ to describe the minimum entitlement of SEND pupils in mainstream schools.
For information about the provision that can be provided for your child regarding their health, education and social care needs, the Worcestershire SEND Local Offer can be found by clicking below:

The Worcestershire Graduated Response has been designed to help ensure children and young people with Special Educational Needs across Worcestershire reach their full potential. It sets out local authority expectations for the ways in which all schools and settings should meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.

There are also two versions of the Graduated Response Document available, both of which are available to download below:
