We know that the best place for children to learn is in school however events over the course of the last few years have taught us that it might not always be possible for all pupils to physically attend school. For example, there is the possibility that an individual child, a class group, or indeed the whole school, will need to learn from home for a period of time.
To deal effectively with the possibility of the above scenarios, and to ensure that vital education can continue, we can quickly put into action a plan for remote learning so that all children can continue with their education. This may include the provision of physical learning resources or the use of the school’s successful remote learning platform (the one designed during the Covid period). Should remote learning be required, we will of course discuss with you as Parents and Carers what the best option would be for your child and their/your personal circumstances.
Please note that if a child does not have access to a device and/or the internet, the school will do all it can to support in this regard e.g. provision of a school Chromebook. Parents and Carers are therefore asked to make the school aware of any barriers to accessing remote learning so that we can work with you to find solutions quickly.
Please be reassured that the whole team here at The Coppice will work tirelessly to ensure that if your child is required to be at home for a sustained period of time, that their learning continues.
