The Coppice regularly run a wide variety of extra-curricular activities for pupils, some of these led by our own staff and others by external third parties.
We believe that having the opportunity to take part in extra-curricular activities fits in well with our aim to leave ‘no talent undiscovered’ and also to provide opportunities for our children to engage enrichment activities that they may otherwise not be able to.
The schedule of clubs for the academic year 2025-2026 can be accessed using the link below:
-We currently charge a small fee for all school-run clubs, which enables any resources to purchased and replenished and means that the future of the clubs provided is sustainable.
-External providers charge their own set fee for their clubs. However, we only allow clubs to be run from school that we feel charge a fair and reasonable rate to our families.
-Where children wish to participate in a club, but where finance could be a barrier to this, please contact the school office as we may well be able to help support your child to be able to attend. Children who receive the Pupil Premium are entitled to attend clubs free of charge as the fees for the club will be paid out of their Pupil Premium Grant allocation.
-Clubs run at The Coppice will always include at least two year groups.
-Clubs are based on what we think will appeal to the children.
-We do limit the number of places at a club to a number that allows the club to run successfully with the adults available. In most cases, this means a minimum of 12-15 children.
-If more children apply for clubs than there are spaces, please be aware that names will be chosen from a hat and not on a first-come-first-served basis.
-A waiting list will be set up for children who aren’t successful in gaining a place at a club the first time around or for those who apply after the signing up cut-off date.
