The vision for our children during their time with us is that they become:
*‘Happy, Confident, Successful Learners’ who are well-prepared for the next stage of their education.
We firmly believe that, “The schools that we would want for our own children are the ones we should want for all children” (John Dewey – philosopher, and Educational reformer)
We aim to ensure this vision through:
*Our school values, our ‘Coppice Way’ behaviour curriculum and our curriculum drivers.
The values we seek to foster in our children revolve around the ‘3R’s’:
*Being Ready, Being Responsible and Being Respectful
These values are lived through ‘The Coppice Way’. In practice this means, every day:
*Being kind and caring to yourself and to others
*Taking care of our school and your belongings
*Trying your best in everything that you do
*Letting everyone learn
*Moving calmly and quietly around our school
*Presenting yourself with pride in terms of your work, uniform and the way that you greet others.
As Learners, we want our children to try every day to follow our ‘Curriculum Drivers’:
*Know More (Gain Knowledge)
*Ask questions (Show Curiosity)
*Aim High (Have Ambition)
*Keep Going (Be Resilient)
*Be Kind (Show Empathy)
These ‘Curriculum Drivers’ are explained in greater detail in the Curriculum section of the website.
