Last week in 5J we used our school cameras to learn how to take macro photographs. We learnt that we needed to sit very still and wait for nature to come to us. It was a great way to support our learning about living things and life cycles, particularly as the close up images really helped us to see the detail of flowering plants.

Not only this, Katie E, from our class then went home to practice her skills some more and she wrote about her experiences below.
I really enjoyed doing macro photography in class so I then decided to take my knowledge of it home. Over the weekend I started taking pictures from around my garden. Me and my family were amazed by the beauty of a simple flower although when looked at up close you really can see the detail and magnificence of these beautiful creations. (by Katie E)
