This week in 2A, we have been super scientists! We have carried out an experiment to see what would happen to a plate of skittles when covered in cold water. Before the experiment, we all made predictions for what would happen to the skittles and the water. We were amazed to see how the colour in the skittles dissolved into the water. It took 2 minutes 7 seconds for all the colours to meet in the middle. We then decided to test whether changing the temperature of the water would change the speed of the process. We concluded that the warm water dissolved the colour from the skittles faster than the cold water!
We are all very excited to experiment with different sweets and liquids to see how this changes the process and outcome.
What do you think would happen?
